4 Week Body Kind Movement Program
What is Non-Aesthetic Movement:
Non Aesthetic Movement aka Body Kind Movement, it movement that has no focus on visual changes to your body. This movement is not motivated by weight loss or sculpting or “targeting” specific areas of the body. There are many reasons to move your body and the ones we are focusing on have nothing to do with the way you look.
Who is this program for?
This 4 week program is for anyone who is looking to:
· become more consistent with movement,
· increase mobility, strength, endurance, balance and flexibility
· cultivate agency and confidence with movement
· further their divestment from diet culture
This is not a weight loss program. This program is centered around helping you cultivate consistent movement practices so you can move your body well for as long as possible. Together we will work to find movement that is fun and interesting to you aka “shit you actually enjoy” so that you can build the consistent and daily habit of movement. This is not a program where I will be holding your hand every step of the way, this is a team project, we are working together to help you live your healthiest life.
How does it work?
Each week for 4 weeks you will receive 3 structured movement sessions. All movements are hyperlinked with demonstrations and explanations(most of the time). There is also a library of all the moves and a simple template on how to put together your own circuits.
What do you need?
· Gym access OR a set of dumbbells ( Facebook marketplace and thrift stores are amazing for cheap equiptment)
· A Yoga or Exercise Mat
· An Open Mind
· Some self-motivation
*This program will not utilize gym machines, or barbells, as I believe that equipment is best learned and monitored in person.
